The Organization:

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Manager of Information Technology provides leadership to employees within the Information and Technology Department, directing and overseeing organizational technology systems and services and initiatives. The Manager supports the Director in the development of policies and procedures that enable and encourage the optimum performance of employees and other resources inside the IT Department in order to provide the best service to the organization which contributes to GHC’s overall goal of providing the best patient care. This position oversees the technology team, who ultimately seek to deliver IT systems that are secure, reliable, stable and high performing.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree, diploma or relevant certification or experience in IT or related technical field

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• Demonstrated ability in leadership, exhibiting strength in working with teams to reach their optimal potential
• 5+ years in IT systems delivery role, emphasizing contribution to systems design and infrastructure planning
• Demonstrated attention to detail both in written and verbal communication, including technical documentation and procedural writing
• Understanding of enterprise level change control processes to appropriately protect production systems prior to implementing configuration updates
• Ability to co-ordinate and assist in advanced troubleshooting of technical issues
• Provide project leadership in managing new and on-going IT initiatives
• Manage and co-ordinate technical resources for delivery of IT services
• Develop/design/recommend new/updated IT solutions for org
• Assist in development of both operational plan, and budget projections annually
• Participate in strategic planning and forecasting to meet organizational needs
• Manage staff schedules
• Strong skill-set in communicating complex technological information and ideas in relatable terms
• Proficiency with a wide variety of IT hardware, software and networking technologies
• Demonstrated knowledge in server and desktop virtualization
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 suite of applications
• Experience with use of helpdesk ticket intake management systems an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge in use of event monitoring and/or system performance tools
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy management essential
• Proficiency in project management delivery concepts a strong asset
• Well-developed skill in living each of the GHC values

Compensation:

Competitive salary range of $75,000-$85,0000 annually commensurate with experience
