Say hello to Char, a Senior Business Systems Analyst on our Marketing Technology Engineering team! Char’s #FiveStarCareer journey began in July 2022, and in her role as a Business Systems Analyst, she and her team help implement and roll out new technology and functionalities for the folks on our Marketing teams.

Take a look as she shares what a typical day looks like in her role, how her leaders support her growth, and more.

What does a typical day look like in your role?

My typical day involves finding answers to questions that I’ve never been asked before, learning about new tools and functionalities, and creating documentation so that we can move forward and learn from previous projects. My team typically works on 3-5 projects at any given time, including anything from digging into a new tool to meeting with stakeholders to gather project specs and chatting with engineers about how to move an initiative forward. My team also makes it a point to leave room for some fun – which is always appreciated!

How have your leaders supported and continue to support your growth?

One day, I casually mentioned to my manager that I’d enjoy doing some sort of casual interview or coffee chat. Within a month, she encouraged me to take the lead on a similar style chat within our org! I love how leadership genuinely cares about what you find interesting about your role, and they make your day-to-day mirror that as much as possible.
