ICTK (CEO Lee Jung-won), a next-generation quantum security fabless company, announced on the 23rd that it received the Industry Pioneer Award at the EBISION 2025 Award hosted by IFIP, a globally prestigious international information technology organization, officially recognizing its technological innovation.

This award ceremony was conducted as part of ‘EBISION 2025 (The 2025 IFIP WG 8.4 International Symposium on E-Business Information Systems Evolution)’ hosted by IFIP WG 8.4 (Information Systems in Developing Countries).

The International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), which organized this award, is the most authoritative academic and professional federation in the international information technology field, established in 1960 under UNESCO sponsorship. Representative academic societies and research institutions from countries worldwide participate to lead international discussions and research cooperation across the entire ICT spectrum, including information processing, information systems, software, security, and AI.

The ‘Industry Pioneer Award’ is a newly established award in 2025 designed to identify innovative companies leading industrial transformation in next-generation ICT fields such as AI, quantum computing, and 6G. Award recipients are selected through rigorous technical evaluation by a panel of judges composed of industry and academic experts. ICTK added significance by being named as the inaugural recipient of this award.

The judging panel stated regarding ICTK’s award background, “We highly evaluated the innovation of VIA PUF and quantum security chip technologies that dramatically improved security reliability in e-business and digital service environments, as well as their contribution to the next-generation ICT industry.”

ICTK has presented a new paradigm in hardware security by becoming the world’s first to mass-produce ‘VIA PUF (Physically Unclonable Function)’ technology, which generates unique IDs that are physically unclonable using semiconductor process variations. In early 2025, the company integrated Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) technology into security chips, establishing itself as an innovative company in the quantum security hardware field.

This award was supported by ICTK’s research reliability and internationally recognized achievements. This year, ICTK published a paper related to qTrustNet, which incorporates next-generation security protocols combining PQC algorithms and PUF technology, in the SCIE-grade international journal ‘IEEE Access (Vol.13, 2025)’. The company also obtained Common Criteria (CC) EAL6 development environment security certification (Site Audit) from a Dutch certification authority, proving its global top-level security manufacturing capabilities.

Additionally, ICTK has been continuously recognized for its technological prowess on the global stage, including being selected as a Top 30 Finalist for the ‘WIPO Global Awards’ chosen by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2025 and winning the gold medal at the international invention exhibition ‘iENA 2024’.

An ICTK official stated, “We are greatly honored to have our technological innovation and industrial contribution recognized by IFIP, which holds the highest authority in the information processing field. Through this award, we will further expand cooperation with global big tech companies and quantum security institutions to leap forward as a company leading global quantum security standards.”

Meanwhile, ICTK is accelerating its entry into the global market through the commercialization of ‘PQC-PUF integrated quantum security semiconductors (QCIM)’ by forming quantum security alliances with Canada’s BTQ Technologies and Crypto4A, and completing security verification with global Top 5 IT companies.
